How Unknown Creatives handles your data on this site, in plain words. Version 2026-10-01, effective 1 October 2026.

This site, unknowncreatives.studio, is run by Dimitri Otero, a sole proprietor trading as Unknown Creatives. He decides how your data is used here, which makes him the controller of it.

Unknown Creatives, 9319 5th Avenue #1040, Brooklyn, New York 11209, United States.

Email: hello@unknowncreatives.studio

  • Analytics, only if you allow it. With your consent, Google Analytics 4 records the pages you visit, the page you came from, your device and browser type, and your approximate location, which Google works out from your IP address. It links them with a random ID kept in cookies. We use it to see which pages get visited and improve the site. Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). Without it, Google Analytics doesn’t load at all.

  • Hosting. Netlify hosts the site. Like any web server, it receives your IP address, browser details and the pages you request, and keeps them in logs to deliver and protect the site. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a working, secure site (Art. 6(1)(f)).

  • Images. Images load from Sanity’s image CDN, cdn.sanity.io, which receives your IP address and browser details to deliver them. Sanity is the content system behind the site. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in showing the site’s images.

  • Display settings. If you change how the site looks (theme, text size and the like), your browser keeps your settings in its local storage. They never leave your device, and nothing is stored until you change something.

  • Your privacy choice. When you choose in the privacy banner or in Privacy settings, your browser keeps the choice, when you made it and the policy version in its local storage. It holds no identifier and never leaves your device. We need it to respect your choice.

  • Email. If you email us, we get your address and what you write, and use them to reply and, if we work together, to do the work. Legal basis: steps you ask for before a contract, or our legitimate interest in answering you.

  • Booking a call. Book a call is a plain link to cal.com. Nothing loads from cal.com until you click it. After that, cal.com handles your data under its own privacy policy.

  • Google LLC (Google Analytics), only with your consent.

  • Netlify, which hosts the site.

  • Sanity, which stores the site’s content and delivers its images.

  • Our email provider, for messages you send us.

We don’t sell your personal information or share it for advertising, and we don’t make automated decisions about you.

Unknown Creatives is based in the United States, and Google, Netlify and Sanity process data there. If you’re in the EU, the UK or Switzerland, Google Analytics data goes to Google LLC under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, its UK Extension and the Swiss-US Data Privacy Framework, which Google takes part in. For our other providers we rely on the Data Privacy Framework where they take part in it, and otherwise on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

  • Google Analytics data: 2 months, then Google deletes it. Its cookies last 13 months and aren’t extended by later visits. They’re deleted as soon as you withdraw consent.

  • Your privacy choice: 6 months, then the banner asks again.

  • Display settings: until you reset them or clear your browser’s storage.

  • Hosting logs: as long as Netlify keeps them under its own retention rules.

  • Emails: as long as we need them to answer you and, if we work together, for the work and the records the law asks us to keep.

Wherever you are, you can ask us what data we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Email hello@unknowncreatives.studio and we’ll answer within a month.

If you’re in the EU, the EEA or the UK, the GDPR and the UK GDPR also give you the right to restrict or object to how we use your data, to get a copy in a portable format, and to withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting what happened before. You can complain to your local data protection authority or, in the UK, to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

If you’re in California or another US state with a privacy law, you may have the right to know what we collect, to delete or correct it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We don’t sell or share personal information. We won’t treat you differently for using any of these rights.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, we treat it as a Reject: Google Analytics stays off and the banner doesn’t ask. Privacy settings shows that your browser sent the signal, and you can still allow analytics there if you want to.

Google Analytics runs only with your consent, with Google signals, advertising features and data sharing turned off, so it isn’t used to follow you across other sites. No other third party tracks you here.

Use Privacy settings at the bottom of every page to allow or reject analytics at any time. If you withdraw consent, Google Analytics stops straight away and its cookies are deleted.

This site isn’t meant for children under 13, or under 16 in the EU, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.

When this policy changes, the version and date at the top of this page change with it. If a change affects what we ask your consent for, the banner asks you again. Email hello@unknowncreatives.studio for an earlier version.
